Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of early application of noninvasive ventilator ventilation on elderly patients with acute left heart failure and respiratory failure. Methods Eighty-six patients with acute left heart failure combined with respiratory failure from March 2017 to May 2018 in the Central Hospital of Yuncheng were selected. The patients were divided into control group and observation group according to the random number table method, with 43 cases in each group. The control group was treated with continuous low flow of oxygen inhalation, and observation group was given early non-invasive ventilation therapy. The blood gas analysis index, cardiac function index and adverse events in the two groups were compared. Results Compared with control group, in observation group, the levels of arterial oxygen partial pressure (PaO2) and oxygen saturation (SaO2) were higher, and the level of partial pressure of carbon dioxide was lower, and differences were significant (P 0.05). Conclusions Early non-invasive ventilator ventilation can effectively improve the blood gas index and cardiac function in elderly patients with acute left heart failure and respiratory failure. Key words: Noninvasive ventilator ventilation; Acute left heart failure; Respiratory failure; Blood gas analysis index; Cardiac function
