Abstract
Objective To determine the clinical characteristics of brainstem glioma and the prognosis factors.Methods Data of 134 patients in Beijing Tiantan Hospital neurosurgical inpatient and outpatient departments from Dec 2007 to June 2009 were evaluated by brainstem glioma databases.Results Meanages were 22.8,and pan gliomas were 71 cases (53.0%).Median survival time was 10.79 months.The prognosis of brainstem glioma in children,pan lesion,infiltrated tumor and the untreated patients was poor than others.Conclusions Prognosis of brainstem glioma is poor.Multimodality treatment is helpful for these patients.
