Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of procedure for prolapse and hemorrhoids (PPH) combined with high frequency capacitance field hemorrhoid treatment techniques(HCPT) on patients with severe circumferential mixed hemorrhoids.Methods Fifty severe circular mixed hemorrhoid patients treated by PPH from August 2008 to December 2010 as the control group,and 50 severe circular mixed hemorrhoid patients treated by PPH combined with HCPT from January 2011 to January 2013 as the observation group.The clinical data and followed-up data postoperative 1-6 months between the two groups were retrospectively analyzed.Results The cure rate and recurrence rate between the two groups had significant difference (P ＜ 0.05),but the differences of complications and efficiencies between the two groups had no significant difference (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusions The combination of two procedures complement the lack of single surgical procedures,and reduce the recurrence rate after surgery,improve the cure rate without increasing the incidence of complications.The combined surgery has obvious advantage.
