Abstract

This paper offers an innovative and unconventional approach to the relationship between cinema and fracture mechanics on the basis of previous research of the author in the field of fracture and structural integrity of cold drawn pearlitic steel in the presence of notches, in addition to the analysis of fracture crack paths, in the conceptual framework of his thoughts and reflections about the philosophy of arts and humanities and its relation with science. In the present paper, novel connections and links are established between notch-induced fracture mechanics & structural integrity of progressively cold drawn pearlitic eutectoid steel bars and wires (on one side) and cinema (on the other side).
