Abstract

A 66 year old patient had replacement of the supracoronary aorta for a type A aortic dissection. Three years following the index operation, she had thoracic endovascular aneurysm repair (TEVAR) of the residual type A aortic dissection at another institution. Follow up computed tomography angiography demonstrated asymptomatic erosion of the proximal sealing uncovered thoracic stent graft through the left subclavian artery (A). Left carotid-subclavian bypass, TEVAR extension with a stent graft using a Zenith TX2 device (Cook Europe, Bjaeverskov, Denmark), and occlusion of the left subclavian with a 14 mm Amplatzer vascular plug II were performed (B).Image 1
