Abstract
1. (1) The following sixteen amino acids have been detected in the hydrolysed cuticles of Ascaris lumbricoides, Toxocara mystax and Strongylus equinus: glycine, alanine, valine, leucine, threonine, cystine, cysteic acid, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, lysine, arginine, histidine, tyrosine, tryptophane, proline and hydroxy-proline. 2. (2) Traces of lipid have been detected in the cuticles of Ascaris lumbricoides and Strongylus equinus. 3. (3) Traces of an aldohexose have also been detected in the hydrolysed cuticles of these two nematodes.
