Abstract

Poly(2-aminothiazole) is a little-studied conducting polymer with sulfur and nitrogen heteroatoms in the aromatic ring, which reveals prospects for application in various fields. We studied the conditions of chemical synthesis of poly(2-aminothiazole) and its composite with graphene oxide in an aqueous solution, as well as electrochemical deposition on electrode surfaces – Pt and SnO2. The structure of the polymer was investigated by SEM and FT-IR spectroscopy. A quantum-chemical calculation using the semi-empirical PM7 method was carried out. The electrochemical activity of polymer films was examined. Increasing effective parameters of charge transport for poly(2-aminothiazole)/graphene oxide films were detected.
