Abstract

The slow solvent evaporation method has been performed to grow single crystals of Bis (thiosemicarbazide-S, N) zinc (II) dinitrate (BTZDN), a semi-organic crystal. In the range of 30–50 °C, solubility experiments for BTZDN crystal are carried out. For investigation, characterization techniques Viz., Single crystal XRD, FTIR, SEM, EDAX, TG-DTA, dielectric, and Luminescence studies are performed on the grown crystal. The grown crystal belongs to the monoclinic crystal system with space group C2/c, as confirmed by single-crystal XRD measurements. EDAX and SEM analysis has been simultaneously recorded for BTZDN crystal. The compounds thermal stability has been predicted by using thermal analysis. The emission spectra from photoluminescence experiment shows peak wavelength at 433.06 nm.
