Abstract

A model for the study of the order of taxonomic species structure of the value system at the state level using rank-species hyperbolic distribution is proposed. The theoretical justifications for the use of its quantitative parameters are presented. A comparative analysis of differences in quantitative parameters of the taxonomic rank-species structure of the value system of the Russian, French and Italian youth is carried out at the empirical level. It is found that the order of the value system structure is not “optimal” regardless of the sample. For the Russian youth it is manifested in the discrepancy between the empirical and canonical rank-species hyperbolic distributions, for the French – in the symmetry of the empirical rank-species hyperbolic distribution, for the Italian, both in the discrepancy between the empirical and canonical distribution, and in the presence of the “heavy” tails in such distribution. Goal. The article is devoted to the search for quantitative parameters, allowing validly reflect the structure order of value system at the state level through the simultaneous study of correlation between the degree of structural elements (taxonomic species) of this system with beta-testing on samples of young people from three countries – Russia, France and Italy. Methodology. Scientific-methodological basis – the methodology of the rank analysis. Empirical method – values questionnaire by S. Schwartz. Statistical methods: a) hierarchical cluster analysis; b) approximation of the hyperbolic mathematical based method of rectification in the double logarithmic scale. Results. On the basis of the analysis of rank-species hyperbolic distributions we found that the structure order of value system of the French, Russian and Italian youth is not “optimal”. For the Russian youth “not optimal” is manifested in the discrepancy between the empirical and canonical rank-species hyperbolic distributions. For the French youth “not optimal” is manifested in the presence of symmetry in the rank-species hyperbolic distribution. For the Italian youth “not optimal” is manifested both in the discrepancy between the empirical and canonical rank-species hyperbolic distribution, and in the presence of “heavy” tails of the distribution. Application of results. The research results can be applied in the sphere of state planning and forecasting.
