Abstract

This chapter discusses an efficient computational technique, referred to as the method of Differential Quadrature (DQ). First, the history and origin of this method are outlined, followed by its recent developments towards static and dynamic problems of different structural members. Furthermore, the computational procedure followed in the DQ method when solving vibration of functionally graded beams is reported.
