Abstract

High complexity and growing interdependencies of chemical and process facilities make them increasingly vulnerable to domino effects. Domino effects are time-dependent processes where not only the identification of involved units but also their temporal sequence of involvement in the chain of accidents matter. In the event of fire dominoes, especially, predicting the most probable path of fire spread, both spatially and temporally, can be of great significance in the context of fire safety and firefighting.
