Abstract

This chapter covers the topic of turbocharging on marine engines. Ensuring sufficient air at appropriate temperatures for combustion is a key to improving vessel efficiency. Turbocharging does this very effectively using exhaust gases to drive a compressor drawing fresh air into the engine.
