Abstract
This chapter covers the fuel injection systems typically found on medium-speed marine engines and not the injection system of two-stroke low-speed engines which are covered in individual chapters relating to such engine types. Fuel injection is a key function in the efficiency of modern marine diesels and also in the control of emissions that can be harmful to the environment.
