Abstract
Thermal analysis has been established as one of the proven analytical techniques in polymer research. Considering the wide range of literature available, this review is mainly focused on reviewing the improvements in thermal properties by means of thermogravimetric analysis and differential scanning calorimetry of nanocomposites consisting of carbon-containing rubber incorporated in rubbers. The choice of rubber, such as silicone rubber, natural rubber, styrene butadiene rubber, and acrylonitrile butadiene rubber in this chapter was mainly guided by its multifaceted applications. It is anticipated that improvements in the thermal properties of carbon-containing rubber nanocomposites could lead to their better applications in the same or new fields.
