Abstract
In this book chapter, we discussed the mathematical and numeric investigation of CO2 absorption and desorption study. The mechanism of CO2 chemical absorption and desorption is discussed in detail. We used the membrane-based contactor for the study. The mathematical equations are derived from the continuity equations from the shell side, tube side and membrane side. These equations are solved by COMSOL 5.4 software package using PARDISO solver. The effects of nanoparticles and velocities are studied in the absorption and desorption processes. The detailed analysis of the recent developments in the experimental and numeric sections is discussed in detail.
