Abstract
With the prodigious advancement in the field of biomedical nanotechnology in the recent times, the traditional drug delivery systems have been transformed into smart drug delivery systems. Thus nanoparticles have become the subject of interest among the researchers across the globe. Nanoparticles dispersed in the valuable suspension which acts as an analogous and stable medium are entitled as Nanofluids. These are capable of enhancing the properties of fluids remarkably at adequate concentration of nanoparticles hence are proven noteworthy and have applications in the numerous disciplines. However, nanofluid-based drug delivery systems owing to their characteristics of specific targeting and restraining the drug release are proven to be efficacious over the traditional drug delivery systems. This chapter will cover fundamental comprehension of drug delivery systems and Nanofluids. Moreover, applications of Nanofluids based drug delivery systems will be witnessed. This chapter recognizes the challenges as well as opportunities for the future research.
