Abstract

This chapter presents lens and table offsets. If the camera lens is mounted on a small compound, it is possible to make a zoom shot, which would normally involve E/W and N/S pan movements using the zoom movement only. This involves calculating E/W and N/S offsets of the lens from its central position, and also E/W and N/S offsets of the table from its central position. Lens offsets are printed to four decimal places and table offsets to three. It is assumed that the lens compound dials read zero when the lens is central and read positive when the lens is West or South.
