Abstract

This chapter illustrates the connections between different component models (presented in earlier chapters) to form a complete catchment model. It also presents different model performance metrics and discusses significance and limitations of some commonly used metrics in hydrological modelling. Also presented in the chapter are brief overviews of hydrological model calibration and uncertainty assessment approaches, and a number of problem scenarios that are commonly encountered in model calibration along with potential causes and solutions for each scenario.
