Abstract

This chapter focuses on risky decision-making and related behaviors among children and adults diagnosed with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. The current status of the literature is reviewed, with a close examination of factors that might contribute to inconsistencies in comparisons to control groups. Potential contributions of symptom exaggeration, age, medication usage, disorder subtype, and performance on other executive functions tasks are considered.
