Abstract
Fabrication of cellulose-based composite carbon nanofibers, properties of cellulose-based composite carbon nanofibers, and applications of cellulose-based carbon nanofibers are reviewed and discussed in details. Carbon nanofibers were synthesized from urea, bacterial filter paper, plant-derived cellulose, or nanocellulose by using chemical vapor deposition (CVD). Carbon nanofibrils which is called as allotropes were contained the graphene, nanotubes, fullerenes, and nano-diamonds whereas, carbon nanostructures were contained the carbon nanofibers, activated carbon, carbon black, carbon quantum dots.
