Abstract

This chapter presents case studies of the application of multivariate data analysis to the development and manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients. It covers the topics of process understanding and process control and presents chemometrics approaches used to achieving robust processes and quality product. The use of statistical process control is also presented through examples in batch and continuous processes.
