Abstract

Science and technology advancements rely on novel functional material exploration, which is beneficial to our everyday lives. In the past decades, high porosity and tailorable chemical constituents of metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) have drawn attention in environmental remediation, energy conversion, and gas storage. This chapter describes recent advances in the field of environmental science and renewable energy based on MOF-based materials. We specialize in energy conversion, adsorption methods, and storage applications that use MOF-based materials. A solid foundation has been laid for the effectiveness of these advanced materials in construction and applications.
