Abstract
This chapter translated the Make processes and metrics of the Supply Chain Operations Reference Model (SCOR) into those of the collection enhancement activities of libraries. Collection enhancements include cataloging, metadata, digitization, conservation, and preservation work. The chapter explains the importance of matching technical support capacity with the collection volumes and recommends “time” as a critical metric to gauge Make performances. The purpose of this chapter is to form a framework for library professionals to reevaluate their current resource planning and allocation for any collection enhance work, and thus improve or adopt supply chain make processes and metrics into their unique environments.
