Abstract

Hand and upper extremity pathologies represent some of the most common and challenging problems faced by orthopaedic surgeons. In addition to a large diversity of pathologies, there are many potential treatment options for various stages or types of each pathology. This chapter reviews the most common pathologies of the hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, and shoulder, reviewing the evaluation and treatment considerations for each pathology.
