Abstract
Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) technology has evolved much since its inception in silica matrices. It has come up a long haul from bulk imprinting in silica matrices to variety of organic polymeric matrices to nanosized matrices, even to nanofilms, nanotubes, quantum dots, and graphene matrices. This synergism and adaptability with current innovations in technology, whether in transducers, signal generation, signal enhancement, inception of novel monomers, and other developments in any nook of the MIP technology will be highly beneficial for commercialization of MIPs. This chapter will review such adaptableness of MIP to incentivize their commercialization.
