Abstract

Room temperature cold spray technique is summarized towards micro-nano ceramic coatings for energy/environment-related applications, such as solar cells, Li-ion battery and solid oxides fuel cells. The relationship between structures and properties of room-temperature cold-sprayed ceramic coatings was described in respect to micro-nano dense and porous coatings. For ultrafine dense ceramic coatings, their properties of optical, electron transport, ion barrier, solid ionic conductivity and oxidation resistance were summarized. For porous ceramic coatings, their structures and properties of ion diffusion, organic/polymer molecule diffusion, photon scattering, gas permeability, photocatalytic and mechanical performance were systemically described.
