Abstract
Colloidal dispersed systems are widespread in nature and present many possibilities for resolving practical tasks, including protection of environment. All the purification methods applied so far only decrease the pollution, but genuine self-purification can be achieved only in the biosphere. The adsorption method of water treatment deriving from different types of synthetic surfactants—sodium dodecylsulfate, cetyltrimethil ammonium bromide, and Triton X-100—on the shungite of type III and type I was selected for our investigation. Tests were done on nonactivated shungite, type III (the Zazhogino deposit), mechanically activated shungite of type I (the Shunga deposit) and type III, as well as mechanically and chemically activated type III shungite , and for every surfactant, the most effective adsorbents were chosen.
