Abstract
A choroidal nevus is a benign melanocytic proliferation of the choroid with very low risk of progression to choroidal melanoma in children. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) findings can detect the choroidal component and overlying changes to the neurosensory retina. Congenital hypertrophy of the retinal pigment epithelium (CHRPE) is a benign proliferation of the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) with extremely low risk for malignant transformation. OCT demonstrates RPE thickening and overlying neurosensory retinal atrophy.
