Abstract
This book chapter is the result of processing altimetry satellite data and a review of the results of studies on the application of altimetry satellite data in Indonesian waters in high seas and in coastal waters. Results indicate that the use of altimetry satellite data for sea-level research in Indonesia starts from 2012 to 2021. More than 38 Scopus-indexed papers on the topic of altimetry data in Indonesian waters exist. Research topics use altimetry data on open seas (70%) more than coastal altimeter data (30%). This book chapter is divided into several subchapters, namely, Introduction, Altimeter Data Application within Indonesian Sea, Sea-level Rise Trends and Variabilities, Geostrophic Surface Current and Rossby Waves, Tidal Model from Altimeter Data, Coastal Altimetry Data Application within Indonesian Waters, and Conclusions.
