Abstract
In this chapter, the concept and application conditions of parallel monitoring technology are presented. The chapter describes the application of parallel monitoring technology with regard to tracking interval, train route, train speed and temporary speed restriction, which includes the paralleling monitoring on train tracking interval by CTC&ATP based on “geese migration theory”, train route parallel monitoring based on virtual image techniques, the speed parallel monitoring by on-board and ground ATP equipment, and temporary speed restriction parallel monitoring.
