Chapter 5 - Comparison Between Existing Theories and Experimental Works

Abstract

This chapter contains the interpretation of the theoretical analysis results. The new empirical formula of model ultimate capacity in dry loose sand and dense sand are compared to previous theories in anchor plates. The proposed results are compared with previous works such as Murray, Meyerhof, and Dickin. Comparisons between breakout factors of present research in loose sand and dense sand with the existing breakout factors are illustrated. They were constructed based on empirical formula given by each researcher due to works on anchor plates in loose sand and dense sand.
