Abstract

This chapter examines the numerical well testing interpretation model for a multilayer sandstone water flooding reservoir. The streamline numerical well testing interpretation model for a multilayer water flooding reservoir includes a filtration mathematical model of the production period and a streamline mathematical model of the testing period. In the filtration mathematical model of the production period for a multilayer reservoir, a well will cross through several grids in the vertical. The surface conditions given are all for the total well. This means the production rate is the sum of the output of all the grids crossed by the well. The solving method of the filtration mathematical model of the production period for a multilayer water flooding reservoir is the same as that of a single-layer sandstone water flooding reservoir. Variations in oil saturation in each streamline reflect the displacement effect of crude oil in each direction from the injection well.
