Abstract
This chapter is dedicated to modeling through interval finite element for one-dimensional problems. Introduction to the spring, bar, and quadratic bar elements is presented here. Further, a systematic formulation of stiffness matrices and the elemental equations with respect to the interval uncertainty (Neumaier, 1990; Moore et al., 2014; Nayak and Chakraverty, 2015) is established.
