Abstract

This chapter is a didactical and practical chapter, where several simple examples are considered to facilitate the comprehension of the techniques considered. Different characteristics are taken into account and a wide range of possibilities for converting logical decision trees (LDTs) into binary decision diagrams (BDD). This chapter also shows a comparative study that shows the advantages and drawbacks of using LDTs or BDD. A new approach is developed to estimate the computational cost of solving a certain system through its corresponding LDT.
