Abstract
Interactive Learning System for Renewable Energy (ILSE) is the novel learning system that can be used from every place of the world. The enhanced information and education on renewable energies is a contribution to speed up the breakthrough of wind and solar energy use. Noble technological solutions are needed to keep the global temperature within tolerable margins. With the understanding of climate change and economics of fossil fuels, it is evident to address the development of renewable energy systems in a flexible way in order to provide a pool of technologies that can be drawn upon for solutions. Empirical investigations have shown that very few people, also on the level of decision makers, have solid knowledge of techniques to use wind energy or solar energy. Renewable energies are not a part of the curriculum at most of the polytechnical institutions and universities of technology. New ways of teaching renewable energies are required. Computer languages such as Java and Java script allows to include programs and simulation tools directly into Internet pages. To help to overcome the information deficit on renewable energies a new ILSE was developed. This learning system combines presentation of information with interactive components such as simulation tools and multiple choice tests in the Internet.
