Abstract

This chapter discusses various two-dimensional (2D) semiconductor nano-oxides as a new direction in modern science and technology. Chapter begins with a review of the physic- chemical properties of graphene and its impact on science and industry. It then reviews other 2D nano-crystals: titanium dioxide (TiO2), molybdenum trioxide (MoO3), tungsten trioxide (WO3) niobium pentoxide (Nb2O5), tantalum pentoxide (Ta2O5), and zinc oxide (ZnO). The chapter concludes on the future impact of the combination of the 2D semiconductor nano-crystals into 3D structures.
