Abstract

This chapter aim to summarize the different studies underlying the theories of cystogenesis and filling with respect to molecular biological mechanisms and gene expression. Furthermore, arachnoid cysts as part of, or in association with, hereditary disease are reviewed, as well as familial occurrence.
