Abstract

This chapter discusses the pros and cons of a community pharmacist undertaking his or her work as a sole trader, as a partnership or through a company. In each case, a pharmacist meets different legal concepts with which he or she will not be familiar. Issues such as fiduciary duties owed by a director of a company are considered, alongside the distinction between a limited company and a limited liability partnership.
