Abstract

Mid-infrared, as the other vibrational spectroscopies, represents an attractive option for quality control and screening because it is rapid, inexpensive, and noninvasive. It has shown tremendous growth as an analytical tool in quality control and process monitoring. This growth is mainly due to instrumental developments and advances in chemometrics (Karoui et al., 2010).
