Chapter 2 - Signaling strategies of photoelectrochemical bioanalysis

Abstract

Photoelectrochemical (PEC) bioanalysis has proved its attractive potential for future bioanalysis due to its promising features, such as, high sensitivity, low cost, low detection limit, and easy miniaturization. PEC signals have a crucial role in PEC bioanalysis. So, the signaling strategies play an important role in developing a highly sensitive PEC system. That is why a deep insight into the PEC signal amplification strategies will be helpful in designing advanced bioanalytical system. Therefore we have summarized the most recent signal amplification strategies utilized in PEC bioanalysis.
