Abstract
The photoelectrochemical (PEC) method is auspicious less expensive method for the conversion of chemical energy into electrical energy at a specific potential under light illumination. Biomolecules can be sensed by PEC biosensors by photocurrent which is generated by the oxidation of biomolecule. Biosensors use the record of biomolecular interface as well as the target molecule. A suitable biosensor should be highly selective, stable quick in response, and sensitive. For the sensitive and selective sensing of biomolecules, the transduction methodology must have electrochemical and optical methods to sense interaction of antigen and antibody as well as DNA hybridization. These approaches include expensive instruments, sometimes are time-consuming, and have background noise.
