Abstract

In this chapter, the fabrication methods of ceramic-matrix composites (CMCs) are introduced, and the mechanical behavior of CMCs for different fabrication processes is analyzed. The stress rupture behavior of chemical vapor infiltration SiC/SiC and C/SiC composites at elevated temperatures are analyzed and related to composite internal damage mechanisms. The engineering application of CMCs considering stress rupture loading is also analyzed.
