Abstract

Accurate values of absolute cross-sections, both total and partial, are required in a variety of contexts. Early work with available light sources was largely restricted to measuring total cross-sections. Partial cross-section measurement emerged as an active field in the last two decades, with the advent of third-generation storage rings incorporating undulators.
