Abstract
For every drug discovery and vaccine development program, one has to provide the data related to the animal studies. In this chapter, we will discuss some medical, physiological parameters which are closely associated with clinical trials of a new product. Parameters like biochemical indices, serum and hematological constraint, antioxidant profiles are recorded for safety of the drug/vaccine. Alterations of the body physiological dysfunction confirmed by enzymatic assays such as adenosine triphosphatase (ATPase), succinate dehydrogenase (SDH), alkaline phosphatase (ALPase), acid phosphatase (ACPase), catalase (CAT), superoxide dismutase (SOD), lipid peroxidation (LPO) followed by total protein levels. All such parameters are discussed in this chapter.
