Abstract
Nanotechnology is a multidisciplinary technology that is linked with physics, chemistry, material science, medicine, engineering, and photonics. Nanotechnology can address the foremost issues of the biopharmaceuticals industry, including solubility, bioavailability, targeting of tissues, cells, and cellular receptors. Nanoparticles are the soul of nanotechnology and can be made available in various forms. Cancer represents an important health problem at a global level that leads to death. Lung cancer is the most common cancer, leading to 14.5% of malignancy in men and 8.4% in women. Non-small-cell lung cancer and small cell lung cancer are the two major types of lung cancer. Nanotechnology plays an important role in cancer-preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic products. Active targeting, passive targeting, and pulmonary drug delivery are the major mechanisms involved in the treatment of lung cancer.
