Abstract
In this chapter, technological developments related to using solar hybrid systems and electric vehicles together are explained. Electric vehicles will play a major energy storage role in the grid in the future. The methods used during the integration of electric vehicles to the grid are explained in this chapter. The charging methods of onboard and off-board electric vehicles and the integration of wireless charging techniques with solar hybrid systems are mentioned. Especially for electric vehicles, wireless charging technology and how it will be applied in the future are expressed. Supporting the grid and using electric vehicles as energy storage units in solar hybrid systems are explained with sample applications. Connection methods of solar hybrid systems and electric vehicles to the grid were examined. With a sample solar hybrid application, power scenarios between electric vehicle and grid are explained.
