Abstract
The stencil pattern is common in partial differential equation solvers, and an application of this to reflection seismology is presented here. Implementations of a stencil for the wave equation are presented in Intel Threading Building Blocks (TBB), Intel Cilk Plus, and Intel Array Building Blocks (ArBB), along with a discussion of several optimizations to improve the reuse of data in cache.
