Abstract

This chapter discusses the statistics of various borate industries in the world. Argentina is the world's third largest borate producer with buried deposits at Tincalayu, Sijes and Loma Blanca, and as with the other Puna Region countries. Turkey has by far the world's largest borate reserves, but until then, when they had less purified borate capacity than the United States. About 123 borates ores are there in the U.S. Borate price increased to 375 $/mt in 1996 from 130 4/mt in 1958. There are about 4310 ores throughout the world and among which 1078 are borate ores.
