Abstract

A remarkable development in the chemical synthesis of nanoparticles utilizes an environmentally unfriendly approach that leads to hazards for aquatic and terrestrial organisms. To bypass the chemical-based synthesis route of nanoparticles, a plant or microorganism-based green approach is under critical evaluation for further technological interventions. In the last couple of years, the green rout synthesis of silver nanoparticles and other nanomaterials has attracted considerable worldwide attention. Silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs), synthesized with the green route, have several crucial aspects due to their inherent eco-friendly nature and plentiful applications. Ag-NPs have emerged as a crucial tool for nano-based material with a variety of avenues in utilization in the wide range of commercially available products, i.e., medicine, therapeutics, agriculture, diagnosis, etc. Therefore, the present book chapter aims to network different approaches to the green synthesis of silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs) and their probable applications.
