Abstract
Electricity is one of the prominent parts of the daily life and now a day's electricity generation through the renewable energy system is the emerging concept, which provide pollution free environment as well as create green jobs for the human being. This chapter consists basic concept of photo-voltaic based solar energy system, with their component and effecting parameters. This chapter also consists of worldwide and Indian scenario of solar energy system, which provides the knowledge about current status and future prospectus of solar energy system in all over the world. This chapter is ended with the fundamental concept of decision science and operational management process.
